The Mega Fossil Mine dig includes archeological tools and a digging site filled with 15 genuine fossil treasures just waiting to be unearthed. This hands-on digging activity will engage students from the beginning and encourage curiosity and excitement! This experience ties to a larger language arts lesson in which students discover the story of Mary Anning, the world's best-known fossil hunter. After unearthing fossils, students can add them to a Curiosity Museum where they will work to identify the fossils and learn more about their formation through research. This project may lead to a life-long interest in fossils!
