Students learned about animals that live in the desert from an adapted form of the book Holes. With the heater, tank, lamp, controller, and other supplies, they will create a desert habitat in line with the theme to build a Science-Literacy connection. They will also build socio-emotional connections through team work, caring for our class pet, and seeing how another living thing thrives and grows through their care. Additionally, they will learn about climate through temperature controls for the terrarium they create for our dragon and learning to maintain said temperatures for the terrarium daily. I Love to create lessons that cover multiple subjects and themes-- lessons within a lesson!
About my class
