By creating my own teacher-made materials, I become the author of my teaching. In knowing what individual children need, it becomes rewarding to create tailored games and activities that meet their needs and entice them to want to learn as they become engaged with these materials. The materials that I will be creating include cards with rhyming pictures that students can match or use a dry erase maker to select their answer, phonemic awareness cards with elkonin boxes for students to fill in cvc words, upper and lowercase letter matching, letter formation sheets for students to trace letters with dry erase markers, number cards for students to trace over, ten frame mats to be used as math tools or for games, bingo sheets for reading cvc words or number recognition, sight word cards, sight word mats where student s can use playdough to build words, and many kinds of game mats where students can practice skills using dry erase markers or clothes pins..
