Since the start of the pandemic, many of my students were reading e-books on their devices, if they were reading at all. I believe that there is nothing better than turning the pages and getting lost in a physical book, especially at a young age when students are still developing as readers. All 27 of my students are encouraged to read 20 minutes each night and always have an independent reading book on hand. I often find them reading at lunch, in the hallways, and many choose to read even during their free time. My students have already gone through many of the books I have to offer in my classroom library and I am hoping to add even more books for them to choose from.
All of these books will go right into our classroom library, allowing students to borrow, read, and love each and every one of them. Students will be able to take these books back and forth from school to home, getting lost in a good book anywhere they go.
