The materials I have requested will help motivate my students to read! Student motivation is the key factor in successful reading. The carpet will provide a place to gather my students for read aloud and the books will supply students with high quality books. The books I have requested are chosen for the 2022 Children's Sequoyah Book Award based on rigorous eligibility qualifications. The books will appeal to children with a variety of interests and reading levels. Within the program, students will be eligible to vote on their favorite title after reading at least 3 books. I know these high quality books and carpet will effectively support reading motivation in my library.
