Could you imagine not being able to communicate basic wants, needs, thoughts, feelings, etc? My students are primarily non-verbal. They struggle with using verbal communication to get their wants and needs met. This iPad will allow them to communicate using words and practice the vocabulary before they get a communication device of their own. A couple of AAC apps will be downloaded onto this iPad (LAMP words for life, TouchChat, etc) in order for me to determine what is the best language system for them. My students would significantly benefit from this iPad.
