The students I work with range from students learning how to read and write letters and words to students who are learning to apply phonics and vocabulary to increase their comprehension. The activities for my students who are learning letters and making words will support their phonemic awareness and phonics skills.
We will be using these resources to develop their literacy skills.
For the students who are able to decode, I would like to have the students access a variety of genres in the StoryWorks Magazine. Students will be able to read closely and comprehend a variety of texts. (NVACS RL and RI 4.1, 5.1, 4.10, 5.10)
