Students love games. However, as educators, it is essential for us to encourage students to develop the vocabulary and concepts to be able to think and discuss games critically. If they are able to analyze games in terms of design and representation, they will be able to apply this literacy to English, Social Studies, and other curricular subjects. This gaming laptop and controllers will allow our students to play single and multiplayer games from all over the world; developing their transmedia literacy and social emotional learning skills through a shared love of games. Game Club at our school is a vibrant, inclusive space. Help us to reach even more students and to share newer, multiplayer games made by independent and diverse creators.

About my class
