Since returning back to the building after a year of online instruction my students are experiencing difficulty in meeting grade level standards in reading, writing, and math. The standards addressed in this project are RF.3.3 and RF3.4 (both are foundational reading skills standards, which the majority of my students are lacking). In addition, reading standards RL.3.10 and RI.3.10, which are literary and informational comprehension standards. As far as math standards, my major focus is on Operations and Algebraic Thinking (3.OA.A.1-A.4) which they are going to need to master in order to be successful in the future.
My goal is to have fun and engaging materials for my students to assist them with their learning while focusing on their strengths to build up their deficits.
The materials in this project will allow me to meet the diverse needs of my students and put the "fun" back into fundamental skills building.
