Since returning to the building I am trying to engage my students as much as possible. Our learning has turned into a virtual experience, but I don't want to be tied to my computer all day. I want to be able to walk around the room and help them each individually as we do the assignments. It is important to build relationships with my students, and I can't do that as well when I am stuck at the front of the classroom on my desktop computer. A Surface Pro is necessary in a science classroom so I can go around and show them what is happening while keeping the work hands-on.
