My students will use the cow eyes, scissors and eye dissection mats to dissect and individually identify each part and function of this mammal's eyes. These parts include the cornea, lens, retina, etc. They will learn the steps in the process of seeing and have an incredible lab experience as well.
A cow eye dissection is a hands on learning experience about vision that my students will never forget. This experience will foster a love of life science and perhaps inspire some future doctors! It will be life changing for some students that may be considering a career in a science field.
