In our classroom we respect ourselves, our classmates, our building and everyone else. Part of learning respect is understanding our environment and respect living things. A classroom aquarium will help build knowledge about life, life cycle, habitat, needs and overall respect for a living creature. We will discover and learn the basics and beyond for caring for fish, what they need to survive and keep healthy. This aquarium will not just be a decoration, it will be a learning tool to incorporate math, reading, vocabulary, writing, language development, social studies and science. Students will gain a new respect for living creatures and the fish keeping hobby. The responsibility aspect will include cleaning, feeding, maintenance and learning what we need to to be responsible for the fish to survive and thrive. This aquarium will provide years of use and unlimited learning.
