We are in need of both fictional and informational texts. With more reading material, as a teacher, I am able to use these new texts to teach and model all of the reading standards. Most importantly, students are able to apply what they learn with new, exciting, fun, important, relevant, and interesting books along the way. Students will be able to use the new books to apply different skills. For example, identifying story elements, story structure, character's response, comparing and contrasting, recounting, and asking/answering questions of a text. I would love to be able to provide new books to my students. Help me help them become excited about reading!

About my class
