The state counseling standards M 3 and M7 recognize the fact that every student should graduate from high school prepared for postsecondary opportunities. Students should also have school counseling programs to promote and enhance student academic, career and social/emotional outcomes. I would love to set up an area that would provide comfort and a place where students can come to decompress when discussing and reviewing their graduation requirements and the stresses that come along with that. With the students coming back from the Covid Pandemic the students need additional support as they prepare for graduation. Students are provided information on opportunities after high school such as college, trade school, and workforce connections. A place for students to come and feel comfortable as they are making decisions regarding their future.
