The math materials that I use in class are an essential resource for my students academic success. The use of dry erase boards allow me to see all my students work in progress. My students wrongly line up numbers in addition and subtraction equations because they are constantly confusing numbers in the ones, tens, and hundreds place. Even though, they struggle they never give up and grow more confident when they have a chance to work on the equation in our small groups.
Last year, my students attended class in long-distance learning and they lost the chance to experience hands on activities. The 24 dry erase boards have place value columns that will help my students stay focused and avoid placing numbers in the wrong location.
