We are a Title I school with limited resources which, unfortunately, puts a lot of financial pressure on teachers in order to give our underprivileged students the materials they deserve. While many of our students are creative and artistically gifted, they were do not have an art teacher or art class. Though I am certified to teach art, I am their Social Studies teacher. Our 7th grade English teacher and I decided to supplement their art learning with an arts and creative writing after school club so students can have a place to explore their creativity. We are in need of paint and brushes, watercolors, oil pastels, markers, drawing pencils, and paint trays so that we can experiment and create with a variety of mediums.
