I want to support and REWARD my students and give them incentives for their hard work, positive behavior, perseverance, academic accomplishments, and attendance through positive behavior intervention supports. Providing them with individualized incentives based on their individualized education program goals and academic achievements is important to me and will allow them to improve social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes. These incentives of snacks will allow me to connect with them beyond the classroom and reward them for their efforts during an unusual time. For example, for students who are staying on top of their work and exhibiting model behavior online, setting a goal, and offering them an incentive would give them something to look forward to and can motivate them. Other ways to support students through incentives are acknowledging honor roll, most improved, excellence in a specific area, and students who exhibit leadership qualities. Overall, these snacks will be used as incentives to reward students for academic accomplishments and to promote positive behaviors in schools. The effective educator speaks the language of their students and knows their needs beyond the classroom. We cannot let this time pass without doing everything that is possible to ensure that we are creating opportunities to engage and support students. With your support, I will be able to provide multiple students with snacks as rewards throughout the school year.
