These sensory room resources will provide my students the opportunity to regulate their sensory needs and refocus their attention to their classwork. The sensory sacks and floor tiles will give the students compression for those that need that sensory input. The various types of lights will help calm and relax the students.
Research shows that Time in a sensory room helps children improve their visual, auditory and tactile processing, as well as fine and gross motor skills. By providing a sense of calm and comfort, sensory rooms help children learn to self-regulate their behaviors, which ultimately improves focus.
These resources will improve their sensory room experience and also help with challenging behaviors.
