As a first-year K-2 resource teacher, I am working with students whose entire educational careers have been impacted by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. These effects are made evident in their phonemic awareness skills, basic math skills, and social-emotional skills.
Each resource that I have chosen was selected with specific students in mind. I chose math resources for my students who have a little foundation of number sense and are working very hard to improve. I chose reading resources to help my students who struggle with phonological processing, which is the first step in their reading journeys. I chose social skills resources for my students who want to have friends and do well, and just need practice.
