These items will be used for the social and emotional wellbeing of our students. The Covid-19 Pandemic has impacted out students in ways they cannot describe in words. Often times, their anxieties and concerns express themselves in behavioral issues.
These items will be provided to the students when they need assistance in calming down so that they can best express themselves verbally.
These items also align with the American School Counselor Association Mindsets and Behaviors for Student Success. They align with Mindset M1: Belief in development of whole self, including a healthy balance of mental, social/emotional and physical well-being, and M 6: Positive attitude toward work and learning. They also align with Behavior Standards B-SMS2: Demonstrate self-discipline and self-control and B-SMS7: Demonstrate effective coping skills when faces with a problem.
