My school is a Title 1 school. Our special needs students are involved in the school's community garden! The compost bin and watering hose will bring another element in working with the community and title one community. Our students have grown squash, corn, pumpkins, tomatoes, and green chili. They have learned how to recycle the shredded paper at school to make seed bombs for the staff. A compost bin will support our students in learning how to recycle and reuse to get great soil. This is a positive influence on the poor community our students live in.
