No young student is content to sit in a desk for hours, expected to learn. In our class, students travel throughout the room to stations, experiencing math in several formats. This will allow all levels of learners to find what resonates with them to thoroughly comprehend the concept as an independent learner. These fraction learning tools will aid in a difficult concept simply because pizza is something they can find relatable. If a game of fraction pizza in the grass with friends or strategically manipulating fraction pieces is what they find engaging, grab a beach towel, we are learning outside today!
