This is a great opportunity for the children to learn independently and as a group different STEM activities. Many of my low-income students do not have these supplies as other classrooms would. This will build self-esteem, their learning of new things, social skills, and cooperation. Many of my students have never had the experience of doing STEM so it is a great experience they will be able to explore.
We usually do not have a budget to purchase things like this for the classroom, and many of the things we have classroom is out of pocket as most teachers or donations of this and that.
