*Students will learn skills to foster independent living skills such as cooking and learning how to eat healthily. Many of our students may not always have a family at home to cook regular meals and are curious how they can make delicious, healthy food on a budget. Some of our youth are in foster care and will be transitioning to independent living so learning cooking skills is a must.
*Students will learn how to foster collaboration with their peers to complete the cooking challenge. Our goal is to help students to be comfortable asking for help and supporting others vs. prioritizing conflict and competitiveness over one's well-being. Students will reap the rewards of collaboration and enjoy a meal in the process!
