Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choice that works best for them. All students are not the same and some need options on how they choose to complete assignments. The materials selected will give our students a choice. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. During the pandemic and school closure, students completed assignments in a variety of locations and settings and it did not stop them from mastering content. Since we are back in the building it is important that we use the methods that worked for them at home in our classrooms. I am looking forward to exploring new ideas to support student learning and engagement following school closure in 2020-2021.

About my class
