Towards the beginning of October, I set a challenge to my students to read 20 books each by the end of the semester. I had no idea how far they'd run with it! I picked up a set of graphic novels that I thought would appeal to them and they are voraciously powering through that series! It made me wonder what other series I could provide that would also spark their imaginations. I want to provide more opportunities to grow their minds, engage them in learning, and help them practice these important skills that free reading provides. I've requested several graphic novel series that they helped me pick out! We will use these series to continue to work towards our 20 book goal. I hope that my students will see this accomplishment for what it is; an amazing dedication to their own education and a chance to push themselves further than they may have believed possible.
