Students encounter problems that make it difficult to deal with negative emotions. I have researched items that can help redirect their perseverating on negative experiences and redirect their minds toward a calmer attitude. When a student comes into a conference agitated it is difficult to make substantial progress. Redirecting their minds with a calming puzzle or fugit device can make the conference about problem solving. I also am asking for a camera so that parents who are online may ask for a video conference. the headset will also make the online conference more effective. It is my hope that this helps kids with SEL at school and parents online.
