Students have had a lot of inconsistent learning in the past 2 years. They need opportunity to collaborate, investigate and persevere in tasks. These are some of the 8 Standards for Mathematical Practice. By funding these projects, students will be provided with a unique variety of opportunities to engage creative thinking. This will support many standards across subjects. Due to COVID, students have been denied opportunities for working in groups thus missing out on sharing ideas and expanding on them. Working together teaches them to value other people's input and gain new knowledge.
