Many of my students come from trauma backgrounds and have seen many things we cannot imagine. I try and make their 7-8 hours at school are the best. Most students are in fight or flight mode. The mold sensory sand, the squish, squeeze sensory beads, building fine motor skills, and the comfy, flexible seating will help my students engage socially and academically.
The playhouse is for social and emotional distraction.
The art station is also for social and emotional needs for my students. These will drive my students of their creative side.
