Students today must have access to a safe place on campus that allows them to the opportunity to calm down. remove themselves from a stressful environment and be given the opportunity to understand and manage the emotions they are feeling. When students don't feel safe or are upset, they cannot learn. In my project, I chose some comfortable bean bags as well as a variety of fidget and stress toys, so my students can come to a place that allows them to relax and regulate their emotions. Our goal is to be able to get the students back to class with a more relaxed mindset that is optimal for learning.
