"People who love each other are always connected by a very special String, made of love. Even though you can't see it with your eyes, you can feel it deep in your heart, and know that you are always connected to the ones you love" I want to give my students this gift, a copy of the book "Invisible String," from me as I leave to travel with the Air Force, reminding them that even though we are apart, we have an invisible string of love connecting us. I will give each student a book to keep and write a personal note inside. This gift will not only help the transition to a new teacher, but also maintain my connection made with each individual student, whom I love dearly. The story of the invisible string will not only assist with my transition, but also teach students coping skills when missing another. Something even us adult need to practice sometimes. To remind them of our invisible string, I will give them a piece of string with our class picture attached to it and begin our pen pal correspondence as soon as I move.
