My scholars are anxious to learn, practice, prepare for, and pass the end-of-grade math test. They will use the Power Pens and cards as independent practice during math workshop. Scholars will also work with a partner to incorporate cooperative learning. Mastering addition and subtraction facts will help with adding and subtracting multiple-digit numbers. It will also help with repeated addition (multiplication) and repeated subtraction (division). Fractions and word problems are big units in third grade. Time and money are daily life skills that children need to learn to function in the real world.
