My students come from high-risk and high-need homes: they deal with domestic violence, poverty, low education and transience.
Help me meet two primary needs: to create a soothing, welcoming environment during emergency counseling sessions and risk assessments, and to help build their foundational reading skills so they can become successful readers during my small reading groups.
The products in my project are designed to meet both of those needs - crisis support and reading skills. I also included books on behavior/classroom management as I am frequently consulted by teachers at my school for behavior support.
