My Mild Cognitively Impaired Students have struggled since coming back to in-person learning. Students are having a hard time explaining how they feel and do not know what to do to help get themselves back on track to learn.
These sensory materials would help me provide a space for them to calm down and learn how to regulate their emotions.
They would also help students while actively learning in class by providing them a way to fidget that is helpful for them and not distracting to others. We talk a lot about how fidgets are tools and not toys meaning that they help us both get ready to learn and keep us focused while learning.
