These 15 mobile desks will be given to all special education teachers. All 15 teachers move from class to class each day providing instruction to students with exceptionalities. While in those classes the teachers are Co-Teaching content, taking data, answering emails, and providing accommodations/modifications. With the help of the mobile desks ALL of the teachers will be able to transport all needed materials WHEREVER they go. Collaboration, communication and flexibility are all needed in order to provide the best education possible; the mobile desks will give all 15 special education teachers the ability to do that with ease. Right now those 15 teachers are making all of that happen, but it is more difficult than it could be if they had mobile desks. Currently they are having to use less than ideal items, such as computer carts, big bulky rolling carts, and stationary desks. These items take up large amounts of space, are hard to move around (or can't move), and are often taken for their intended purpose. Once that happens the teachers are left scrambling to find other items to meet their needs. While I know this is a massive project, each student deserves the best and I truly believe that giving each special education teacher a mobile desk to aid in their instruction WILL take instruction to the next level, WHILE taking stress off these amazing 15 teachers.
