All of my students seek out movement and sensory exploration. I am new to the school district this year and my classroom was not set up for this student population. There were no materials in the room when I started. We have pieced together movement activities to meet the students needs the best we can. These materials will be used for movement breaks. All of my students need to move and groove throughout the day to regulate their bodies. The students will use the scooter to go and get the bean bags or the puzzles and bring them back and put them in a bucket. The hand ring will help my students work on their independence when we go for walks around the school. All of my students love hands on materials. The light table will allow them to explore. The water table will allow for exploration of water without having to use or classroom sink.
