The products chosen will help students easily carry their materials to and from their seats. This will increase learning time as students are not going back from their cubbies to their desks multiple times throughout a lesson to get necessary materials. Money, time, place value, as well as addition and subtraction up to 1,000 are the focus in second grade mathematics. Many tools will be used in supporting students during whole group learning as well as during small group instruction. The clock, place value blocks, and other math manipulatives allow students to access and understand the mathematics visually.
