My classroom currently has only 2 working desktop computers for 24 students. The elementary side of the building which is 15 elementary classes (over 21 students in each) have to share two laptop carts which is a total of approximately 50 laptops. My students get to use the cart 2-3 times a month for about 45 minutes per session because we have to share with other classes. We have limited technology, therefore my students do not have the opportunity to effectively use the math and ELA online programs our district has purchased for the students. The online programs are great resources that support our Eureka math program and Benchmark reading program. Although I'd love to have a class set of laptops, I'm asking for five which I will rotate amongst the students in my class.
