When students are able to read about the world around them they develop critical thinking skills and discover the world outside of their neighborhood. A digital copy of Time for Kids will allow me to share current events, have class discussions, and open new doors for my students. I used Time for Kids when I was teaching in the classroom and my students LOVED it! The articles were written so they could easily understand them. The videos enhanced their learning and engaged their thinking. The quizzes and teacher materials allowed me to lead meaningful discussions and develop their reading skills. Many of the articles are about kids their age breaking barriers and thinking outside the box. I would love to show my students that there are no limits to what they can accomplish! Non-fiction texts can be dry, hard to understand, and sometimes do not keep the young readers attention. Time for Kids checks all the boxes for my young readers and I know they will love this addition to our lessons.
