After spending almost 3 years pushing into each classroom on a cart, my students are finally getting the Art Room that they deserve. The supplies I am requesting for our brand new room are to help facilitate art lessons that go beyond your typical elementary art room setups.
By offering choices in the creative process of our young artists, it allows all students to explore and excel in areas of art that may be overlooked. These items will help students explore photography, stop-motion animation, sewing and fiber arts along with traditional methods of creating during their elementary years.
Students are more engaged and excited about creating when they are interested in the planning, process and execution of a project. Your donation will help push my artists forward into to new realm of art that they may not be able to experience otherwise. My students have already exhibited heightened critical and creative problem-solving skills as well as shown more eagerness when several choices are offered. This project will take our choice-based approach to a new level of creating within our new space.
