Our students have a lunch program where the food comes from our parent school and is packaged-not actual cafeteria food. Somedays the food gets eaten, other days, there isn't much appealing. This is bad for two reasons: teens don't get proper nutrition; much food is wasted. And many times it just isn't enough for a hungry teen.
Can you concentrate on school work when you're hungry? Our students can't! We are a small school and food options and cafeteria do not exist. Snacks would be helpful to be on hand.
