Currently, many of my students are not capable of purchasing 鈥渆xtra鈥 school supplies such as a choral folder. While this folder is not required. in my class, it can be used to protect the music for years to come. By funding this project, many of my students who are not able to purchase their own folder will be able to use a folder from the school. This allows equity in the classroom and provides relief for parents who are financially struggling.
As educators we are looking to set up our students for success! It is commonly proven that students who are organized are much more likely to succeed in their coursework. My students will commonly receive 8 - 10 pieces of music each semester. This can be a lot of paper for students to protect and to keep organized. By providing a specific place to put their music, students will have the opportunity to be better organized throughout the school year and their costly music will be in better condition for the next generation of students!
This school year is difficult enough for our kids鈥攑lease help to provide them with a tool that will allow them to manage their classroom materials with greater care and set them up for success in the music classroom.
