Using the materials requested, my students will complete an awesome printmaking project incorporating standards and materials emphasized in the Nevada Academic Content Standards for Visual Art. Printmaking requires materials that would usually be very hard for the average student to acquire on their own- especially with the high numbers of unemployment due to the quarantine. This donation would make it possible for students to explore linoleum block printing, which is a fun and satisfying form of printmaking.
During the quarantine, access to unique materials was limited and this year I want my students to have the opportunity to experiment with some exciting mediums.
Last year, due to Covid, many students were limited to using pencil on lined paper for their artwork- even in a painting class! This year I want students to have more opportunities to see how varied art can be.
