The technology will assist the teacher in managing the increasing technological load (interacting with Interactive Television Displays, testing software, e-hallpass requests, gradebook and learning management system queries, email and building communication) anywhere in the classroom or school site - no more getting stuck behind the computer! This will provide better service to virtual as well as in-person students.
The technology will assist in the teacher being readily available to assist with digital tools with great flexibility, while the text will allow students access to more challenging literary devices, with support.
Students will have a greater opportunity to interact with Shakespeare's language, as originally conceived, while providing some supports for understanding. Currently, students rely heavily on No Fear Shakespeare editions, which does little to benefit their language understanding.
Standards impacted are ELA 10.RL.4 and ELA 10.RL.10, and to a lesser extent, ELA 10.RL.9
