Markers are an essential medium in my Drawing and Design classes and played a significant role in some of my own art. Having experience with these markers, the sets I am requesting provide a wide range of colors, especially with skin tones. They blend well which will help the students' work look more professional. I want my students to be able to blend colors without the annoyance of streaking that cheap markers tend to leave behind. I want them to take pride in their work.
Drawing something that has meaning to the student often leads to more successful work. I plan on having the students use the markers to illustrate self-portraits surrounded by items of interest to the individual student. One of my students years ago, using the same markers, won first place in the marker category at an art contest with a drawing of his best friend.
Having multiple sets will benefit the students so that they do not have to keep moving around the room. They can have them readily accessible in a specific location. Also, multiple sets will allow many students to use them without running out of ink too quickly.
