I work with students in groups and individually, many of these students struggle with anxiety and staying focused on their work. I have requested fidgets, stress popper bracelets, and stress balls to help students stay focused in class. Social Emotional Learning resources are foundational in the school counseling groups I hold with my students. Games that promote teamwork and relationship building can help students get so much more out of the counseling sessions. Right now I hold a Grief/Loss Counseling Group, Multicultural Group, LGBTQ+ Group, Friendship Group, and help out in the Crypto Club, and Gamer's Club at my school. The games and books will help out with these areas. I will also purchase a new chair for students to sit in while individual counseling takes place. This chair is for students.
