We use several language based programs and websites that offer audio assistance. Without headphones the room becomes too noisy for the students to concentrate. We use such websites as: storylineonline.net and GetEpic.com, that feature on screen readers. In both cases, the student listens to the story while reading as well. Headphones help create the level of quiet needed for concentration and learning to happen. In the past, our school provided headphones, but at this point we do not have the budget for them.
