I teach 4th to 6th-grade students in an independent study program that is under-funded. Due to many circumstances, our enrollment has grown from 450 to over 1,300 students since the beginning of the year. Some of the students are entirely remote, while others come to the school site once a week for instruction and education-plan mapping.
The iPad, case, Pencil, and Ear Buds will be used daily and will enhance student access to subject content. Our curriculum offers few virtual practice options and in-person students will use the technology to write math expressions and compose writing assignments. These can then be saved to a student's file. We will also open assignments with Kami to work on their digital curriculum together. This can be projected to a TV by Apple screen-sharing options which makes their work more visible. Students are in control of their learning, and I can check for understanding in real-time.
The iPad, Apple Pencil, and Ear Buds will help our distance learning meetings (via Zoom) by allowing me to teach as though I am in front of a whiteboard. I will be able to provide examples, write notes, and create short videos on subject-specific content which students can re-watch as needed.
Your contribution to this project will have a significant impact on both the in-person and remote learning experiences of my students. I am grateful for your consideration and look forward to making this project a reality.
