Teaching literacy is an ongoing project for my students. The teacher introduces the project to the whole class. The students then are sent to small group learning with peers with teacher support as needed. Having the big book stand in the Literacy Workstation will allow them to look at the book and turn the pages. The magnetic board will allow them to use magnetic letters to learn the new vocabulary they are learning from the big books as well as practice writing the new words on the dry erase board. The added bonus is having a storage area for the material for students to access easily.
