Flexible seating allows students to recognize the importance of knowing that everyone learns in different ways. Currently, my students only have the option of remaining seated at their tables. Having a comfortable space in the classroom to sit during instructional time is a crucial component in motivating them.
Additionally, having multiple means of learning resources throughout the room provides a meaningful space that my students deserve to thrive in.
The various products that I have chosen for my specific student population allow my students to worry less about accessing materials for school. By having a printer, students can print out individual & group work during the school day to stay successful in our classroom. This also extends to giving access to creative visual projects! I have many learners who would be thrilled to print out their artistic creations to post around our classroom.
Also, having organizational materials in the classroom makes the space accessible for all learners and provides a sense of stability for our space. Lastly, snacks, charging stations, and Chromebook chargers provide my student population the necessary materials to ensure school-day preparedness and avoids the worry that comes from economic pressures to provide these materials for themselves.
